What Parents Are Saying

Why We Chose Young Hearts

We chose Young Hearts for several meaningful reasons. First and foremost, we love the classical learning curriculum and the school’s “no pop culture” policy—no action figures, no Taylor Swift-themed items, and nothing else that could distract from a focused learning environment. This approach really helps maintain the integrity of the classroom and keeps things centered on what matters most: education and character formation.

Security was also a major priority for us, and Young Hearts excels in this area. From the visible presence of a security guard in protective gear, to locked entrances to the building and hallways to classrooms, Identification checks to verify appropriate person is picking up children, to clearly displayed lanyards and badges for staff—everything is done with intention and care. It gives us peace of mind.

Communication with families is another standout. Young Hearts consistently provides clear, proactive updates that help us feel informed and involved. Since starting here, our child has not only curbed unhelpful behaviors but has also developed valuable skills—especially patience when it comes to learning difficult skills.

We also really appreciate the monthly focus on virtues. It’s a beautiful thing to see our child learning qualities we deeply value, like this month’s virtue: perseverance.

Even though we drive about 40 minutes one way to/from school, it’s absolutely worth it for us. A traditional, distraction-free learning environment matters deeply to our family, and Young Hearts delivers that.

One last thing we love? The uniform! It completely eliminates morning disagreements about clothing choices and sets a consistent tone for the day.

Young Hearts is a program full of patience, rules, and love that teaches little ones to learn and explore in such an educational and loving environment. Our daughter started mid-year, and has grown intellectually, artistically, and socially. She is eager to wake up in the mornings, to play on the playground with all of her friends! She gets to use her imagination and learn while interacting with her peers throughout the school day. There are so many different Montessori toys that have engaged our daughter’s learning and imagination! When it’s time to check her out at the end of the day, she is excited to share her various art projects she worked on that day! Young Hearts is definitely the preferred place for anyone’s preschooler / pre-kindergartener. We recommend Young Hearts to all of our family and friends!
